Commissioned by Bishop David Walker in 2002, A New Light in the East encapsulates a true sense of identity for the people of the Broken Bay community.

The book was launched by His Eminence Edward Cardinal Clancy at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Waitara on 16 March 2005.
