Liturgy
The Liturgical Commission has been
established in the Diocese to promote the Liturgical life as the
primary expression of the local church in prayer.
The Commission encourages the participation
and involvement of the People of God through nourishing liturgical
spirituality, and monitoring liturgical music, architecture and art.
It provides resources and formation to
priests and congregations, particularly for the various ministries.
The Commission is composed of:
- the Bishop or his nominee;
- the Director of Liturgy;
- the Coordinator of RCIA;
- the Coordinator of the Sacraments of
Initiation;
- a priest of the Diocese;
- representatives of the People of God with
some liturgical training; and
- at least three persons, chosen by the
Bishop from clergy, religious and laity, on the basis of their
liturgical experience and/or academic qualifications.
The Commission meets at least six time each
year.
