Chaplaincy Hospital Chaplaincy is considered a significant ministry in the Diocese. A full-time hospital chaplain is available at the Royal North Shore, but in general, parish priests operate on a roster and are available for hospital calls. Pastoral workers and volunteers also minister in all hospitals, nursing and hostel facilities throughout the diocese. Under
the new Privacy Laws, it is important for Catholic patients to mark
'Catholic' in the religion box when completing the hospital admission
