Level Three Diploma

The Program

The CCD Accreditation Program consists of a three-level program designed to assist the Special Religious Education (SRE) teacher (catechist) in the development of the knowledge, skills and understanding required to teach SRE in government schools in the Diocese.

Each level consists of twelve 2-hour units.  A certificate is awarded on successful completion of Levels One and Two and a Diploma on the completion of Level Three.

New or returning catechists who have not completed Level One since 2001 must undertake basic training in the form of the Basic Accreditation Course (BAC).  This is a three-unit course which is required  to be completed before catechists receive full authorisation.  The BAC units are part of the Level One course.

Catechists may attend courses in any region.
