Framework for Parish Youth Ministry
We have been working on a new document that will guide youth ministry in the Diocese of Broken Bay. The document is based on the Diocesan Pastoral Plan and the talks of Bishop David Walker. Bishop David often talks on discipleship and we thought that the discipleship journey was a great image for a youth ministry.
The document outline three key phases of the discipleship journey:
- Evangelisation
- Catechesis
- Mission
This journey is supported through every step by:
4. Prayer and Worship
5. Community and Fellowship
The document will be the basis of future planning in parish based youth ministry within the Diocese of Broken Bay. Download the document for more information.
Youth Ministry Directory May 2008
The Broken Bay Youth Ministry Directory is published each year to key people informed about youth ministry activities in the Diocese. Each parish is listed, with updated parish names and contact details. The CCD regional directors have been included for 2008 to reflect the common goal of reaching our young people. Plus there is a whole lot more information on Catholic youth and young adult activities and services that operate in Broken Bay.
We will update the Directory late 2008 ready for the new year.
