What is Lighthouse?
Lighthouse is an annual Youth and Young Adults event for the Diocese of Broken Bay. Started in 2005 as a festival, the project has developed into a way of building youth ministry within the Diocese. The eight annual Lighthouse weekend is on 20 - 22 May 2011 at Challenge Ranch. Stay tuned for more information.

Who is Broken Bay Youth Ministry?
Introduction
The office for Youth Ministry in the
Diocese of Broken Bay was started in 2001 by Karen Lunney.
The Depart was part of the Diocesan Curia and took on the name
Catholic Youth Ministry or CYM. In 2006 the team was
restructured to be part of the Parish Support Unit. The
focus of the office for Youth Ministry took on more of a parish
focus. The name Broken Bay Youth Ministry was used to
replace CYM.
The Team
Many people help out on the team of Broken
Bay Youth Ministry. the team is supported by members of
the Parish Support Unit. Currently they include Mark
McDonald, Agi Reefman and Pauline Finch.
Mark McDonald
As the Coordinator of Diocesan Youth
Ministry, Mark is a consultant for Parish Based Youth Ministry
including the Framework for Parish Youth Ministry. Mark is
also responsible for the Parish Internship Program, the
Internship Blog, the WYD11 pilgrimage, the various websites and
social media and runs the Lighthouse weekend. Mark is the
Lighthouse Coordinator for 2010.
Agi Reefman
As the Special
Projects Officer, Agi is a consultant for Parish Support Unit on
a number of areas including Human resource management and the
new Roman Missal Translation project. Agi is also
responsible for the Parish Internship Program. Agi is part
of the Lighthouse team taking on the Workshops and Venue
Portfolio for 2010.
Pauline Finch
As the
Administration staff member, Pauline works for Parish Support
Unit on a number of areas. Pauline is also working on the
WYD11 pilgrimage. Pauline is part of the Lighthouse team
running the Registration Office for 2010.
