"Justice, Peace and Service" or social Justice  is guiding young people in the development of a social consciousness and a commitment to a life of justice and service grounded in their faith in Jesus Christ, in the scriptures and in Catholic social teaching; empowering young people (and their families) to work for justice by concrete efforts to address the causes of human suffering, to serve those in need, to pursue peace, and to defend the life, dignity and rights of all people; infusing the concepts of justice and peace into all youth ministry efforts.

WE BELIEVE IN A COMMUNITY THAT OPENS ITS DOORS TO PEOPLE WHO FLEE WAR, HUNGER AND POVERTY IN SEARCH OF A BETTER LIFE.

WE BELIEVE THAT THE RESOURCES OF THE EARTH ARE TO BE SHARED AMONG ALL THE PEOPLE – NOT JUST THE FEW.

WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF RECONCILIATION

WE BELIEVE THAT WE ARE CALLED TO SHARE OUR LIVES SO AS TO FREE EACH OTHER FROM POVERTY, RACISM, AND OPPRESSION OF ALL KINDS.

WE BELIEVE THAT WE ARE THE STEWARDS OF THE EARTH WHO MUST TAKE CARE OF THE LAND AND PASS IT ON INTACT TO FUTURE GENERATIONS

WE BELIEVE IN A COMMUNITY THAT HAS AS A PRIORITY A RESPONSE TO THOSE WHO ARE DENIED BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS AND DIGNITY.

‘Our commitment to social justice is at the heart of who we are and what we believe, therefore we must share it more effectively.’
US Catholic Bishops

There is a growing awareness of the sublime dignity of human persons, who stand above all things and whose rights and duties are universal
and inviolable.
They ought, therefore, to have ready access to all that is necessary for living a genuinely human life: for example, food, clothing, housing…the right to education, and work….
